The rule
Publication ≠ underlying truth · press release ≠ independent verification · programme repetition ≠ proof · physical transformation ≠ unitary ownership · hotel operation ≠ registered title.
We also preserve the reasonable editorial defence: an outlet may correctly have described a refurbishment, accurately reported customer experience or accurately attributed official/corporate information without purporting to determine disputed civil or registered ownership. If a documentary response corrects our reconstruction, we will incorporate it.
What we ask
Verify → explain → correct → update → restate, as appropriate. We do not request confidential journalistic sources beyond what is necessary and lawfully disclosable; we ask for the non-confidential basis and attribution of published propositions, relevant corrections, preservation of source/production records and an opportunity to complete the public record.
